Hi all you lovely people,
I'm 11+3 & need your help.
My and my partner had sex last night, to which after I started bleeding. It was red with a little tinge of yellow, it stopped after a few minutes so I went to sleep. I woke this morning to a little more when wiping, then after wiping a little bit more it was a pinky red. I've not been in any pain, had a bubbly and groaning stomach but still no cramping of any sort. Is this normal? I've put a pad on just incase, but I'm panicking like crazy. I had a miscarriage of an unknown pregnancy in March, so I'm super worried. Can you help??

Thank you!

I had bleeding early in my pregnancy. If you phone your GP they should be able to refer you to the early pregnancy unit for a scan. Bleeding is very common.

I should have added bleeding doesn't necessarily mean bad news.

When I went to the Dr's with bleeding in early pregnancy the first thing he asked was when I'd last had sex, it must be a common cause. I've read it can cause irritation of the cervix. Still worth checking it out though, if only for your peace of mind x

If it was straight after sex it's almost certainly cervical abrasion (i.e. nothing serious!) but DEFINITELY worth getting checked out with your GP. Let us know how you get on!

This happened to me last week I'm a little further on than you. I'm 22 weeks. I had sex and after I was bleeding, I called the hospital and the first thing she asked was have you had sex I said yes. Thankfully I had my scan that day and everything was fine. X

I didn't actually get back to you all.
I sadly was showing the signs of a missed miscarriage.
I went to EPU for a check the day before my scan, said everything was okay & womb was closed. Just bleeding from sex!
Scan the next day revealed I had lost my baby at 6 weeks but was still carrying around the sack. But I am now pregnant again & hopeful that this one is strong enough to pull through.
