Pedicure, is it safe in pregnancy? Silly question - sorry!

I'm sorry if this is a silly question, but I know there are rules about massage etc in pregnancy, something to due with acupressure and pressure points. I have never had a pedicure in my life, I always hated my feet! But I got my feet sorted last year, I had double bunion (hate that word) surgery and now my tootsies look quite presentable.

Now I understand that there is a certain amount of massage involved in a pedicure, is this safe? I am 15 weeks pregnant. Probably won't have it done until kids go back to school after Easter, so I'll be about 18 weeks.

Yes it's safe, but do tell them you're pregnant in case it invalidates their insurance or something.

It's not like it's reflexology or acupressure where they're massaging with the intent to affect other bits of your body, they're just doing it to relax your feet.

Have fun .

Safe but let them know. They will only use essential oils suitable for a pregnant mother.

Had pedicures all through this (and previous pregnancy). No problems but as already said just mention you are pregnant to reassure yourself.

Just don't have one pre labour (ie 40 weeks ish) as, if you end up in surgery they take your lovely manicure and pedicure off. I was horrified when they did this. Never mind I was in peril - I'd just had my nails done. Good to see I had things in perspective...
