Morning!
I haven't had a period in two months so I've done a pregnancy test
Is this a positive? Or am I looking too hard??

Is this a line or not??

Will it be good news for him, do you think? I really hope so! Exciting times 😊

Sussexgal · 17/08/2017 05:18

He was a bit freaked out but then happy then freaked out then happy!!
I need some advice ladies as this is all so new to me and I'm
Confused!!
The clear blue test said 1-2 weeks, then I've read it says I should add 2 weeks to that?
But then when I use the due date tool and put in my last date it says I'm 8 weeks?
So am I 2
Weeks or 8 weeks pregnant? Big difference! Especially for telling work! Xx

Hi, you don't need to tell work for ages yet; with my first I told them after my 12 week scan. But legally you don't need to tell them til about 25 weeks (to be fair it would be obvious by then!) note that date could be completely wrong!!

Your pregnancy is dated from the date of your last period, so if that was 8 weeks ago, then you would be classed as being 8 weeks pregnant.

Phone your GP and asked to be referred to the midwife - you have an appointment calling a booking appointment between 8 and 10 weeks (takes about 2 hours!) then they will then refer you for your dating scan which is between 12 and 14 weeks. This can will date your pregnancy and give you a due date.

If you are not doing so already you need to start taking some folic acid, and stop taking any multivitamin with vitamin A in it.

Good luck!

U fortunalty I will need to tell my manager as soon as I next go in as I'm also a memeber of ma management and I'm expected to do a lot of lifting and going up ladders and the company has very strict h&s for expectant mothers (which of course is a great thing!) meaning telling people comes all that much sooner!! Thank you I have a doctors app today and my friend already made me start taking her left over pregnacare :-)

Ah, OK. Makes sense to tell work sooner then!

Hope all goes well with doctor today.

moggle · 17/08/2017 09:30

You're either 4 weeks or 8 weeks... if the clearblue said 1-2 weeks I would go with 4 weeks and assume maybe your lack of the first period was just a random thing? I would call the midwife and say that you aren't sure of your dates due to irregular periods, she might send you for an early scan. At any rate, when you get your 12 week scan they will date you properly. Glad BF was happy!
