I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant and can't believe I could potentially have another 5 weeks of being pregnant stretched out in front of me! I am constantly breathless, tired, hot and uncomfortable and really don't think I can take much more of this. Not one to normally rant as I appreciate how lucky I am to be in this position but my god, this is hard work! Anyone else in the same boat?

You are perfectly entitled to ask to be induced at 39 weeks if you choose. My sister is an obstetrician and recommends this to her patients.

I remember the feeling well OP. I cried a lot. Although thankfully because I was 40, my consultant wanted me induced on my due date so didn't have to go to 42 weeks. Ds came of his own volition at 39+6 in the end. Honestly, I know each day feels like a week but you'll wonder where the time has gone when your baby arrives. Good luck with it all Flowers

I know how you feel. I finished work at 37+2 and remember thinking I could potentially have 4.5 weeks to go and how can I possibly be pregnant for another month (I'm sure pregnancy is much longer than 9mths!)

I'm now 39+6 due date tomorrow with no sign of an appearance. It is depressing. I bawled my eyes out yesterday because I ripped a hole in the only pair of pants that were still comfortable so now I am living in pyjamas refusing to leave the house!

Hi this is me except I am 38 weeks. I feel exactly like you! I have tried to keep busy but it's dragging and I could still have another 4 weeks to go. Doesn't help when I see people who say ooo id had mine by now!! GREAT

YorkieDorkie · 15/08/2017 15:01

The whole 42 weeks for me! Hang in there OP, it's crap but it's not forever Flowers

I'm right there with you Poppy!

I literally can't people. They are all so rude out there so I am also staying at home, wearing whatever still fits and trying everything I can to make myself more comfortable.

Today for example, this was ordering a dominos at midday and grazing on it all afternoon.

sigh

My first was born bang on 37 weeks. I'm going to be 38 weeks on Thursday... I can not imagine having to do this for another month.

39+3 here and I am not pleasant company.

Everyone keeps going on about 'oh you'll know about tiredness in a few weeks, make the most of it'

NO! I want to be able to cuddle dd1 without her moaning that my belly is in the way, be able to see my feet, wear shoes that tie up and be able to go 20 mins without feeling like I'm going to wet myself

I feel your pain ladies Flowers
