So, I'm entering my 10th week pregnant and for the last 8 weeks, I've certainly been eating more. A lot more. Mixture of craving high fat and salt, and it helps with the nausea
Anyhow..... I've got a little paunch. A little belly that's slightly overlapping my trousers....
Do you think this is the extra food intake.... or just the beginning of pregnancy?
Basically, what does the stomach look like at ten weeks?
As I'm writing this, I realise it's a pointless question as everyone's stomach is different, but any thoughts would be welcome anyhow!

I found myself really bloated in the first few months but weight gain was minimal - I think I even lost a few pounds in the first trimester. Then after about 4 months it all settled down to nothing. Then a bump started appearing at about 5 months. Nothing of note though until gone 6 months. It felt ridiculous at 10 weeks having to keep the button on my trousers or jeans undone when there was absolutely nothing that represented as a baby bump!

I put on loads of weight in the first few weeks for the same reasons as you. Felt nauseous a lot of the time and could only eat what I fancied as trying to eat anything I didn't just made me feel sick again! Unfortunately it was all the wrong sort of stuff I fancied - especially salty stuff like McDonald's chips!!! Mine was definitely podge not baby. Didn't get a recognisable baby bump until about week 16

Could it be water retention? I craved salty foods, crisps etc early in my pregnancy and had a similar paunch until bump started showing around 20 weeks...

I was really bloated until about 12 weeks, so recognize the experience you're describing. It settled down after the first trimester and a "bump" appeared just before 5 months.

Also, from my experience, anything that helps you get through the sickness (and stays down!) is worth it - just try to balance it with fruit / veggies etc whenever you can.

Good luck!

Hey thanks everyone! Really helpful advice. I too am eating MacDonald's, pasta, crisps etc. Stuff I'd never usually eat. Funny isn't it.
Today I'm walking round with my top button open too. And I also have a mild stomach ache. Anyhow, all comments have put my mind at rest - I think I can loose it when going back to normal eating second trimester - thanks!
