Had a growth scan friday and baby was measuring over 90th percentile at 2.5kg if born now. Normal range of waters so been given another scan in 3 weeks to see his growth. I know they are just estimates but what are peoples experiences with this? Might they suggest early induction?

Honestly it is all really really iffy. So many women have been given info like this and it's turned out not the be the case at all.

My personal experience (twice!)
Bump measuring 6 weeks behind at 30 weeks, so sent for a growth scan. Baby measuring over the top of the charts at growth scan, told to expect a 10+ lb baby. DC1 was 7lb 7, DC2 was 7lb11.

Oh and I was offered an early sweep (I'm fairly petite) but I declined as felt it was pointless and too risky for baby. 99.99% of the time you will only make a baby that your body can cope with.

They won't offer to get baby out early just due to size alone.

However if there is another medical reason then they would e.g. Pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, placenta prevaria etc.

Thats good then. I had early induction last time due to pre eclampsia and have said all along i dont want to be induced this time round!

Another one here who was told baby would be enormous. He was 8.11 and perfectly normal.

They are just keeping an eye in case of diabetes etc. As PP have said they won't induce you just because you're measuring big.
