Please tell me I'm not the only one struggling with this?

I'm nearly 14 weeks pregnant and feel like I'm barely sleeping at all at the moment. I've struggled to sleep since my first pregnancy with DTs (nearly 3) but got into a manageable rhythm with it and was coping ok. Now I'm pregnant again and it's totally unpredictable but in the last week I think I've averaged about 3 hours a night. I can barely see straight at work today and feel so guilty but dread the thought of picking DTs up from nursery later.

I've taken medication in the past but wouldn't whilst pregnant and tried all the usual things about bed time routines, darkness, sleeping alone etc etc. The only thing that worked in the past was exercising really hard in the evening, then having a hot bath and going straight to bed, but that isn't really practical at the moment and I really can't muster the energy to exercise at the moment anyway!

Anyone with a similar experience, tips, hand holding or just the odd poke to keep me awake would be amazing!

Hi there. Sorry to hear that, I know how you feel. I'm 15 weeks and I just got past a month bout of chronic Insomnia. Never had insomnia in my life but last month I was so tired all day and then at night I would sleep for an hour or two then be wide awake for hours. Finally force mysel back to sleep then awake an hour later. I googled everything to try and find a cure but it just seemed to pass. Now I'm newly this week
Getting back to normal sleeps. Apparently it's just hormones doing their stuff as usual. Hopefully it will pass soon for you too. Good luck xx
