Currently sitting in labour ward for over an hour waiting to be seen Confused since my midwife got called into theatre and they're a bit short staffed tonight. Anyway.

Lots of throbbing pain in my hips and lower back, braxton hicks, comes and goes pretty regularly for the past few hours... and lost a chunk of mucous plug (about the size of a 5p piece) around 10 hours ago.

Just fingers crossed everything is ok and I can go home soon. Any positive vibes/stories, throw them my way.

Not got that far yet so no advice, but wishing you the best.

Keep asking how long until you will be seen, not the case in all hospitals but sometimes the quieter you are the easier you are to make wait, and this could potentially be something pretty serious (fingers crossed it's not)

However... a positive story, my friends went into early labour at 31 weeks and as the hospital were fast acting they managed to stop it and gave her steroid injections for the babies lungs just incase, she held on until 37 weeks and the baby came home with her the day after she was born, no medics attention needed.

Mucus plug can be lost and grow back, the 'show' normally has blood in it, did your loss?

Hopefully this is nothing and you get seen soon Flowers

Thanks everyone, went well and I've been told to keep my feet up yeah right since I have a 19 month old DD and much to DH's dismay no sex!
