Hi

Sorry for the gross post but wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. I'm 32 weeks pregnant. Third baby.
Few weeks ago I felt quite a lot of pressure down below.
I stupidly took a mirror to have a look and was bloody horrified at what I found. My 'area' shall we say looked like it had been in what can only be described as a fight!!! Swollen and had a weird purple lump? Type thing coming out. 😳
Worried I went to the doctor and she said it just looked like some tissue coming out due to the pressure baby is putting on things. She said to make sure I do my pelvic floor exercises and to go back if it gets worse.
Being that I'm on my feet all day looking after my other two kids it feels like it's getting worse.
Had another look and it's definitely bigger and looks more 'protruding!'
Feels like my insides are coming out.

Anyone else taken a mirror and had a similar shock ?
Will it get back to normal after the baby arrives or is it Screwed forever?
Will it get worse during labour with the pushing ?
Help!!

I had ds2 8 weeks ago and had something similar to what you describe - was diagnosed with a Rectocele. It's still there 😭

Omg!! I've just googled that and think this sounds like it what I have got. Why didn't the dr mention this ?
I'm panicking now that Sex will hurt and I'll not be able to poo properly!!
Going to bed now panicking!! 😓

@IStoleThisUsername was it made worse from labour ? Do you know if you will have to have surgery ?
Did you know about it before you had your child when you were pregnant?

@spwJd
Was diagnosed when 26 weeks pregnant. Dr said I'd probably had it from previous pregnancies due to what grade it is but this pregnancy made it worse. It does seem worse after labour but my bits haven't really gone back to normal yet (ds2 was 9lb and a 45 min labour from start to finish!) so I can't be 100% sure.
Not talked about the prospect of surgery - plan of action will be discussed at my postnatal check next week but I doubt I'll go down that route yet as hopefully will be having another baby within the next few years so would wait until after.
