Is my ultrasound normal?

This is my 28 week and 5 day ultrasound (done at one of those vanity places) and i'm concerned that my baby's head bone is flat and his nose is too prominent. It's making me really anxious and I am planning to speak to my midwife about it, I would just really appreciate some honesty.

OP, I think they would have told you, especially at 20 week scan, if there was anything to worry about. Your baby looks perfectly normal to me. Are you concerned about disfigurement or looks?

It looks like a totally normal scan picture to me - is there a reason you're so anxious about it? If there were concerns about the facial structure of your baby they would've picked up on them by now. Maybe go for a 4d scan to put your mind at rest?

Ultrasounds aren't great for fine detail, so I wouldn't worry - most of those 4d images look a bit like melted cheese rather than a lovely baby. Movement will effect the image you get.

The 20 week scan is performed with far more attention to detail, so I'd take account of that. Your midwife is unlikely to be able to comment - she's not a sonographer so won't be trained in interpreting the image.

DS1 looked like Homer Simpson in his 20w ultra scan. I worried that they'd missed something but he was totally fine and never has shown any resemblance to a Simpson.

Looks perfect to me! Yes, I think you'd know by now if there was something wrong! Don't worry.
