So I have find out I am nearly 5 weeks pregnant Smile
However, I have an 8 month old right now. (He will be 17 months when I am due.)

As I am so early I don't have bad pregnancy symptoms (other than tiredness) YET!

My question is:
Have any of you been in a similar situation. How did you cope with being pregnant whilst taking care of a particularly wingey/ needy/ clingy DC1?
I'm still up twice a night feeding DS1 and feeling exhausted.

Also once newborn is here, I am concerned about how on earth I will cope with breastfeeding feeding newborn and keeping DS1 busy, happy (not jealous?) + Housework e.t.c.

I guess I will probably get a lot of answers telling me to 'deal with it' !

I found out I was pregnant with ds2 when my dd was only 15 weeks old! I didn't really feel much more tired as I was still dealing with such a young baby so was knackered anyway! What I did find was that the pregnancy took a big toll on me physically as I suffered with pelvic pain for the first time on that pregnancy and I was still obviously picking up and carrying dd all day everyday.
Dd was just under 11 months when ds2 was born and I can't lie, it was very difficult dealing with 2 babies at very different stages. There were times when I didn't know how I was going to cope but I just took one day at a time and that made it a little easier to deal with.
I'm afraid there will be an element of just sucking it up and getting on with things but you will find that you fall into a routine quite quickly and it will get easier as time passes.

FlurkenSchnit
Thank you for that. I didn't think my post had been published or I would have replied sooner. Well done for coping with two so very young babies!

There is a 16 months age gap between my first two and I'm currently pregnant with number three and the age gap will be 17 months between DS2 and baby. It is hard but so worth it. My two boys are at an age now where they are starting to play together a bit more which helps (although they do fight which I thought I wouldn't have for a few years) routine will be your best friend!

The Real Curly Sue
You have your hands more full than me!
That sounds so lovely, I am so pleased to hear your first two play nicely. Thanks for the tip on routine!
