I just need a reality check. We are TTC baby Nr 2 and I'm still breastfeeding. As such, I only got my period last month, almost 15 months after giving birth. So I'm expecting my periods to be irregular for a while. That said, pre-prenancy I always had a 28 day cycle. I'm now on day 38.

I have similar symptoms to my first pregnancy (heartburn, occasional dizziness and nausea, abdominal cramps), and had something which could be mistaken for implantation bleeding 9 days post ovulation (I check when I may ovulate with the urine test strips).

However, all home pregnancy tests come back negative. Am i just imagining the symptoms because I want to be pregnant? Is this anxiety perhaps preventing my period? I went to doctor but she refused to do a blood test because the urine test was negative, and she said I just wasn't pregnant.
I just want to know either way, so I can move on! I dislike limbo....

I was always as regular as clock work too but breast feeding for extended periods really messes up your cycles! I fed my first for under 6 months and my cycles were normal by the time I had stopped (they usually return about 22 weeks post partum). With my second I fed for 12+ months and my cycles were all over the place despite returning at 22 weeks again. Even after I stopped feeding and tried a trial of a birth control pill to shock my system into restarting they were still wonky. I finally started taking Vitex Agnus Castus and it seemed to restart my cycle so that when I was expecting a period I ovulated instead. Hello baby 3#! Currently 36 weeks. So just being late isn't necessarily an indication. I had a good few 'late' instances but my tests were always negative.
