I'm 18 weeks.
I ate some weetabix, ate 1 1/2 of them and then realised that they tasted soapy. I spat out the soapy bit. The weetabix packet is kept under the sink and I realised that the sink had been leaking (washing machine drains to pipe too) and that the weetabix had absorbed some of the sink / washing machine water from the leaking pipe. I immediately induced vomiting and I'm pretty sure I vomited my entire stomach contents. The amount I would have ingested, even if I hadn't have been sick would have been small as the leak was small and the weetabix were dry when I put them in the bowl, but the packet was stained like it had absorbed some of the water.
I'm sure there's nothing A & E would do.

I think you will be fine. Are u feeling regular movements? I would ring nhs direct or your midwife if you are still worried.

No I wouldnt worry. It's not actually advised to induce vomiting though, next time just seek medical reassurance.

AccrualIntentions · 13/08/2017 13:38

I wouldn't bother with A&E initially. Do you have a midwife/maternity unit number you can call? I've rang mine about all kinds of things during this pregnancy!

I would worry to be honest.

KarateKitten · 13/08/2017 13:38

No I wouldn't worry. As far as soap toxicity goes, I'd imagine stuff used to wash dishes and plates is going to be low down, not to mention that it would be extremely diluted by the draining of the sink.

I'm feeling a bit more relaxed now. Pregnancy is so stressful!
