Pressure behind ribs @ 25w

Around the top of bump so at the bottom of my rib cage and mainly at the front.

It's worsened by too much activity, climbing stairs etc and sitting.

Seems to only ease when lying flat as I can take a big deep breath.

Anyone had this?

I feel like something is pushing my ribs from the inside, but baby always seems to kick and sit quite low. The same pressure is in my sides below my ribs too.

Eugh it's so uncomfortable and the breathlessness is crazy, I feel super unfit!

Should add. The size of my bump seems to have decreased these past two weeks... Could it be baby/womb stretching up?

I've had exactly this feeling with both my pregnancies - and both were breech babies. Head firmly located under my right ribcage each time . Very painful, you have my sympathies Flowers

How far along are you?

OnNaturesCourse · 13/08/2017 09:52

25+ weeks.

Definitely feels like something is pushing x

I had this about that time too, I thought baby was going to crack a rib some days! Lying down is the only thing that helped. Had to take co-codimal a couple of times when it got bad and I couldn't lie down.

thankfully now baby has dropped down a bit it has eased off and only happens occasionally.

Mine isn't breach, but he seems to like to push against my ribs with his feet. Delightful! Angry

It's strange. It's not like painful, more uncomfortable and lots of pressure which then starts to ache. Almost like I don't have enough room x

Mine did that, all 3 of them. DD actually cracked a rib (x ray after birth confirmed broken rib) and she was breech.

OnNaturesCourse · 13/08/2017 11:53

Were you quite early on when it started?

It might be either the head pushing against ribs or if your baby haven't turned yet it might be little feet in the ribs. Equally as painful, my son did this when he had turned and before he turned. If your worried, please go and to mau and they will be happy to see you and it's for your piece of mind, it's likely absolutely nothing more than feet in the ribs x

Notreallyarsed · 13/08/2017 12:14

It was about 20 weeks ish that I first noticed.

OnNaturesCourse · 13/08/2017 21:15

I'm not worried just frustrated.

I feel like I constantly need to lie down/straighten out. It's miserable.

Yeh. Pregnancy sucks. Only 15 more weeks to go, you're past half way at least Grin

OnNaturesCourse · 13/08/2017 21:52

That's what I keep telling myself.

Bump has got a lot smaller over past few days but I still have moment. Keep telling myself they are just stretching up.
