Hi all. I've been TTC for a year now and was over the moon when I got bfp early last week. Did 4 tests and line got darker each day. Devastated when started a bleed on Monday. Just assumed worse. But AF not cone fully and occasional pink when I wipe myself. Took test today as was curious and positive line darker than ever! So confused. Am waiting for out of hours to ring back but was wondering if anyone else experience or heard of this? Am i still pregnant. Don't want to get hopes up too much

Well you took another test that was still positive so yes, you are still pregnant. How many dpo are? Or when was your last af? How much blood was there? Some bleeding in early pregnancy is normal and can be no cause for concern. Some bleeding is not normal and can indicate a miscarriage. You have that the bleeding has stopped as a positive sign, cling on to that. Your dr will be able to refer to the epu if they feel that would be necessary. Try not worry (I know that's impossible really). I hope it's good news for you. Keep us updated x

I actually feel the need to post that despite me saying yes you're still pregnant, AnUtter makes a much clearer point than I did in terms of hcg levels dropping after a mc. I second exactly what she has said and I don't want to give you false hope. In most cases, hcg will drop quite rapidly after a mc but this is not always the case.

I first bled at 5 weeks For few days. Then 6 and a bit weeks for 2 days. Then again at 10 weeks for a few hours. And had a random bleed few days ago at 30 weeks.
Ever time baby has been checked she is doing well.
Hope things go well for You!

Thanks so much for all the comments. I've made an appointment with gp and i guess it's a waiting game now. The bleeding was very light and only when I wiped. One or two days there was a brown spotting in towel. I'm trying to be optimistic but I'm aware it could be taking time for hcg levels to decrease.

I would go as far as to say you have a good chance - light bleeding and spotting can so often be nothing to worry about. Wishing you the best x

i bled slightly with my 2nd and did untill i was about 12 wks! never enough to wear a towel but always when i wiped!
in regards to the pregnancy test!, i had a miscarriage with my 3rd pregnancy and i was still getting a positive test 9 weeks after. i actually thawt i was pregnant again but turned out i still had high levels.
Good luck.

There are a few reasons you can bleed, a subchorionic haematoma is one or irritation on the cervix being another. Post coital bleeding is v common as well. Unfortunately though, as others have said, the hormones linger in your body for some time even after a pregnancy has ended/passed, so doing more tests are only a waste of time at this point. After one of my MC I was still testing positive for 8weeks until it finally went negative. (I was only testing intermittently to try to understand when my cycles would restart). Hopefully this is not the case for you.
