I have just found out I am pregnant and have CP. I'm concerned about how I will cope during pregnancy and delivery. Does anyone have advice or know what care I should expect to help me through the pregnancy? Thanks in advance Smile

I also have CP and am currently 32wks pregnant. My MW said that in terms of labour and delivery it shouldn't cause any issues in itself. You can be referred for Physio if you feel you need it (they will specialise in obstetrics so can help if you have any issues with pelvic pain etc).

Also we were referred to our local children's centre for assistance with practical support once the baby is born, so depending on your needs this could be an option.

I'm under MW led care, but if they feel it's needed they will place you with a consultant.

My advice would be to mention all your concerns to the MW at booking in and they will refer you on from there. Hope this helps x
