Eating healthy when nauseous at 9 weeks

As the subject says really. My body only seems to be able to eat fruit, toast, cheese, cake, chocolate! If I try eating vegetables/salad they make me gag or feel even more nauseous. I guess I'm hoping this is short lived & wondering if my baby is getting all the nutrients it needs?

Baby gets all nutrients it needs from you, if you can keep it down - eat it! Don't worry too much about eating healthy for now

Don't worry, it will be short lived, and a few biscuits won't hurt. And, you're eating fruit, and cheese, so that's not bad.

I ate nothing but burgers and biscuits for a fortnight with DS1, then completely went off meat the following week.

I'm 7 weeks and am living off cereal toast and fruit, occasionally a proper sandwich. I'm still hoping it will pass Smile

Whoops I meant 17 weeks

If it makes you feel better I was a super skinny vegan, no-sugar health nut. From about 7 weeks the only things I could stomach eating were cheese, toast with butter and marmite, and chocolate digestives. I gave into it hoping that it was nature's way of telling me what my body it needed.

Thanks ladies that's reassuring to know! Luckily I've not been sick but it's pretty much all day nausea at the moment (worse in evenings). It's very random why I'd want chocolate when feeling sick but it seems to work! I've always had a sweet tooth but would balance it out with healthy stuff too...baby seems to have other ideas Grin

I'm 10 weeks and the same - very nauseous. Usually eat healthily but Today have only mustered the ability to eat a scoop of cherry ice cream and a fruit tart. It is such a pain - your intention is to eat healthily but your body just says otherwise. Boyf made me salmon and veg the other night and the very smell made me gag - I drove straight to the drive in Burger King. Never been there in a year of living here! But my god it was good!

My baby is mostly made of supernoodles.

I did 12 weeks eating cheese on toast or poached eggs.

DD is made of Kelloggs Grapenuts, full fat milk, and toast. She is very healthy and skinny.

Current baby only 8 weeks in the making but prefers tuna and peanut butter on crackers.

Both apparently hate veg. Shrug!

Actually, from 20 weeks, I pretty much lived on ice cubes. Not sure about their nutritional value.
