Stretch and sweep?

I had a stretch and sweep on Wednesday (40w). Midwife said my cervix was soft but she couldn't quite do a proper sweep as it was still a bit too far back for her to do it. Sorry for the TMI part but I had a fresh bleed straight after for a short while (which she said was normal) but since then I have had a brown bleed. I called the hospital on Wednesday night and they said they were only concerned if it was red blood. However, from experience, did anyone else has a s&s and still be bleeding two days later?
No other signs of going into labour so don't think it did anything but have another booked next week.

Thank you Smile

Yes, after my first sweep (about 40weeks too) I spotted for a couple of days, wasn't much and mainly noticed if wiped. Brown bleed is the 'old blood' that's been dislodged when sweeping.
If it's red (fresh) blood and a lot or increasing then call midwife or even if concerned - call them for peace of mind.
