So I'm 41+3 and just had my 2nd sweep. I was only 1cm dilated and cervix was still high so not too hopeful but I came home afterwards and now I've got achey period pains and had to go to the loo quickly for a no2 sorry tmi! Did anyone else have this? Thanks

Didn't have a sweep but my labour started with achy period pains and I spent the hours before my contractions started emptying my bowels. Sounds hopeful x

I've had 2 a sweeps, I had period pain type cramps, lost a lot of the mucous plug and needed the loo more often than usual.
It didn't amount to much more than that and I am still waiting for labour to begin Grin

Hey, I had a sweep on Sunday afternoon, 1cm dilated and high cervix... They didn't think it would do alot. I came home, had period type pains progressing to waves of mild ish period pains through the eve and lost my plug. Was woken at 3 am with contractions which continued and baby was born by 8pm Monday eve :)

I've still got mega period pains and just general uncomfortableness :( no2 is still going too 😂 so hopefully it does something! If not will be induction Saturday

I know we're all different but my timeline was "uncomfortable" on the Friday, "period aches + emptying bowels" on the Saturday, laboured Sat pm-Sun am, baby born by 8am Sunday. Hopefully you won't need to be induced!
