Do your nipples get bigger when pregnant?

I have both nipples pierced. I am planning to breastfeed (I breastfed my 2nd for nearly 3 years and treated myself to piercings after.

But I'm now wondering if your nipples get bigger, or if it's just because of the hormones. The piercings are getting sore and crusty - just like they used to do around my period time. But this is constant.

So thinking I may need to remove the piercings 😔

I have no idea about piercings but my nipples definitely got bigger (and darker) during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

I had one nipple piercing with dd1 which decided to reject and push it's way out by itself as my pregnancy progressed.
Your nipples do get bigger. My friend had a longer, bendy bar in hers so it had enough room on it to accommodate any growth. If you're planning on breastfeeding it's better to take them out sooner rather than later to allow the holes to heal a bit before hand.

Mine are now like wagon wheels! Apparently they do go back down though 😓

Mine got smaller again, but I wouldn't say they ever went back to 'normal'... much like the rest of my body after DTs.

34 weeks pregnant and they're darker and like (huge) midget gems. Permanently erect too as well!

Yep they def get bigger. I think mine have gone back to normal size after each pregnancy (pretty small when not preggers).

Mine didn't! No boob changes at all except for painful nips. Was shit at BF but don't know if that's related - I'm told not but not sure if I believe that.

I had both of mine done and they got a bit squashed when I was pregnant so bought some flexible longer bars (glow in the dark too ) took them out when baby was born and never put them back in :(

One of them was pierced slightly lower down than it should've been. I've removed the offending side and it already isn't so bad! I'm assuming my body was starting to push it out which was making it so painful!

I think I'll end up taking the other one out soon, but will keep it in as long as I can because I do love having them haha!!
