Tail bone pain

I'm just over 11 weeks and for the last week have been experiencing tail bone (coccyx) pain. I've only just been able to pin point the area where it hurts the most. It's worse at the end of the day and is even uncomfortable to sit down. I have had trouble with bruising my coccyx before many years ago and wondered if this was a flare up or if anyone else had ever suffered with this during pregnancy? I've googled it and stretches seem to be the way to go, any advice on which are best and do I need to inform my midwife of my discomfort at this stage?
Thanks

I had coccyx pain, and didn't find stretches overly helpful (my pain came on later and I struggled to complete with the pregnancy weight). Was advised to get a tennis ball in a sock/tights to massage the area (hold and rub against wall) which was quite useful. Was referred for physio by midwife but referral never materialised so definitely mention and push for physio. Antenatal yoga might also be good if you can find classes.

The best thing for me was getting an electric desk so I could sit or stand at work whenever I needed to. Have struggled increasingly with long journeys and found a poyang rocking chair from IKEA the most comfy at home.

I have a coccyx injury that got significantly worse in pregnancy.

To be completely honest, physio was a waste of time IME. I was given a few basic exercises and sent on my way, and told they don't like to interfere during pregnancy.

It was more a case of keeping comfortable.

Coccyx cushion

Paracetamol/codeine on particularly bad days

Not spending too long sat on a hard surface

It's utterly miserable, I feel for you!

I had this from about 16 weeks for about 4/5 weeks. It was definitely not pleasant - I had to take deep breaths before I got out of my chair in work, and couldn't sit on our couch. I got a wedge to sit on in work, which tilted me forward and it really worked. Getting up and walking around eased it a bit. Also sitting on a yoga ball at home. It disappeared almost as fast as it arrived so I assume it was just everything shifting around down there. I'm 29 weeks now and totally fine ...well apart from a mahoosive bump and practically falling asleep every 5 mins Shock
