Probably nothing but I'm a worrier as after I left my consultant appointment she told me it was her first day and I was her first patient.

Under urine it says '++++ kets' all of my other urine samples say MSU (mid stream urine??) so bit worried.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

Thanks so much!

Ketones? Usually because you'd not eaten recently.

Ketones?

Saltandpepperpig · 08/08/2017 17:32

What does that mean? I'd had lunch 1 hour before the appointment...

I had this when I had pre-eclampsia probably not what you want to hear. Is your blood pressure ok?

Redhead17 · 08/08/2017 17:34

It could be a number of things if they were concerned I am sure they'd of advised you

That's what I was worried about, I've hard awful headaches and blurry vision which she didn't comment on. BP today was 129/80 so that's normal I think

Ketones have nothing to do with pre-eclampsia. You were probably a bit dehydrated. Even if it was your consultants first day they would still have had years of medical experience before becoming consultant. Maybe she meant at that hospital.
If the headaches don't improve contact your maternity triage.
