Have they made my due date too early?

According to my scan, they say I conceived 3 days before my last (heavy) period started, and 10 days before I had unprotected sex for the first ever time... surely it's not possible I got pregnant then?
If not, they've given me a due date that's 10 days early, will they try and induce me before baby's ready?

How far along are you?

Your 12 week scan is apparantly the most accurate of them all. So if you have not had that one yet your due date may change.

Each pregnancy my sonographer-confirmed due date has been one week too short to be possible . Both times I knew the exact date of conception and felt implantation. Still cooking this baby, but my last was 10 days late. I was due to go in for a consultation for induction the next day.

Also, just checking you are aware the baby is born 38 weeks after conception, and the first two weeks you are not actually pregnant? So if they give you an early due date the "start" of your pregnancy could be before your last period.

@mouselove and @loosemoose28 I had my 12 week scan on Friday - they dated it to 2nd/3rd May, period started 5th May, tried for baby 13th May. They said it's 13 weeks 3 days on 4th August

@saynotocarrots ok, so although they're probably out by 10 days, they take that into account with the due date... that's reassuring to know Smile

I think you've confused what I meant! They wait ten days after the due date for every woman. I just meant I think I was right last time and they were wrong.

I'm looking at your dates and I think that means you conceived around the 17th of May. They add two weeks on to before conception.

SayNoToCarrots · 08/08/2017 09:04

Your due date is start of last period plus 40 weeks.

Week zero is always the date of your last period and you usually conceive during week 2. So your scan dates seem to be about right

Thanks everyone! That really helps
