Hi all,

Hoping somebody can help. Apologies for TMI! Around two weeks ago I was really constipated and bleeding from the rectum but had no pain. This week, I have developed a large hemorrhoid (around the size of a grape) which won't go back in. It's causing me a huge amount of pain, I've been using anusol and suppositories for a week to no avail. I can't sleep or walk!

Went to out of hours yesterday and the Doctor gave me stool softeners and hydrocortisone cream. I've been taking salt baths but the pain is still excruciating.

My questions are:

  1. is it worth going to my regular Gp tomorrow? Could they lance it?

  2. how bad is labour going to be with this added pain?!

Thanks for any help - I'm truly in agony!

If it's causing you so much pain and misery then I would suggest seeing your GP again, they may be something they can do, nothing to loose at the end of the day by going. All the best x
