Hey,

I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my second child, so very early days.
However my stomach is huge!! I look about 5 months pregnant, it's crazy!
My dates are right, I'm pretty sure of that but have to wait another 5 weeks for a scan.
Is this normal??
Thanks x

This happened to me too with dc2z I put it down to water retention and disguised it with a large scarf!! The good news is that by 12 weeks it had calmed right down!

Same for me with number 2, currently 19+2 and absolutely massive, starting to seriously worry how big I could get!! I've heard lots of similar stories from folk about showing really early, and lots who say it does even itself out clings to hope 😂

11wks and been huge for ages - ditto easily 5mths gone but dates spot on as been scanned twice. My first too!

Welcome to subsequent pregnancies! It can be shocking how big we get the second time around. At 12 weeks with this pregnancy I seriously looked how I did at 25 weeks with DC1. I'm 30 weeks now and enormous, but it has calmed down a bit.

I didn't have this with my 2nd didn't start showing til 16 weeks however I'm 7 weeks tomorrow with dc3 and huge debating buying maternity tops.

Even with first baby I was super bloated in the first two months. I looked massive and had to be really careful about what I wore! It settled down after that and then I got a proper bump about 4 months.

with dc1 I never showed till 7 months and only then when I breathed out . First babies don't normally show till a good few weeks (14/16) .
