Advice? Experiences? 2cm and losing plug for 4 days...

I'm 40 weeks.

Last week (at 39 weeks) I had a sweep and was 2cm dilated. The MW said I could be stretched to 4cm?

The following day (thurs) I started losing the plug and it's been coming out in bits regularly ever since.

(As an aside, I have read that there's no need to inform the hospital of plug loss, is this right? I didn't experience this with any other pregnancies so not sure how long this goes on for?)

Also had some period pain type cramps, lots of braxton hicks, loose poo and leg ache but no contraction pains and waters still in tact.

I have been advised to be induced soonish if it doesn't happen naturally, and would prefer not to be Sad (but of course will if necessary - regular and unexplained long periods of absent movements )

Don't know why I'm posting really. I guess I'm just looking for some hope from other women who have experienced this kind of built up to labour and can tell me it might not be too long? Grin

I don't fancy pineapple or curry (chronic heartburn).

Sex I don't fancy either with all the plug business 😩 and generally being large and uncomfortable

I've walked a lot

I sit on the birthing ball and roll around as much as possible

I've had baths

Anything that might be worth a try?

I literally could have written this post hun. Only difference is I'm 39+2 & due to be induced tomorrow.
Sorry I am no help what so ever as I wonder the same things as you.

Hopefully we have our LO's soon

Good luck and keep us posted
