Rib Pain!

Hello, I am nearly 36 weeks and at my last appointment was told that little one was breech and stuck up in my ribs.
Instead of being excited and glowy, I just seem to have been in pain for weeks and it's not getting any better - feels like my ribs are about to crack on my right hand side, can't bear for my (too small) bump to be touched even by clothes and can't even fit any food in!
Does anyone have any words of wisdom or comfort as four weeks feels like an eternity, especially as I am working FT until the bitter end! Xx

I'm not sure I have any words of wisdom, but I too am 36 weeks and I have a tiny child's butt firmly wedged into my right ribs... and like you, I'm in pain... Is there any chance you could finish before the bitter end?! I work FT too, but finish on Friday (37 weeks) - you really ought to give yourself a little time to rest before little one arrives! I hope someone can impart more wisdom than me!! 💕

Yep, been there! I had a c-section at 39 weeks though, are you booked in or will your hospital attempt a vaginal breech delivery? I didn't really get a great deal of choice tbh. I finished work at 38 weeks and felt rushed with the section just a week later - if I had time again I would ask to go earlier i.e. at 36 weeks as those last few weeks at my desk were agony. If not though, try a different chair or an exercise ball to sit on at least, and do whatever helps at home - I used to lie on the floor a lot with strategically placed cushions.

That rib pain though, I can still feel it now, ouch!! I didn't realise until they said it was breech that it wasn't normal either. Only comforting thought I can give is that it's instantly gone when you give birth!
