Currently on holiday in France visiting my in laws who are french. Have been TTC since April and started feeling really sick and AF was one day late so husband went to buy a pregnancy test......shit suddenly got very real as it is positive. Husband doesn't want to tell his parents and honestly I'm shitting myself. I always had in the back of my mind that I wouldn't get pregnant and suddenly boom! Now thinking, is this the right thing, should I be happy argh anyone else felt like this? Help!!

I felt the exact same way the first time i got pregnant. After speaking to a few of my friends they had similar reactions, give yourself a few days to get your head around it and it does go away and you will be happy. Congratulations!

We had been ttc for a year with one very emotional mc in between. I'm now 17 weeks pregnant and feel the same. It's only natural!

Congratulations @Papillion86. We had been planning to try for children after our wedding in December last year for ages. Then literally the first month of trying I became pregnant- whilst I was overjoyed/in happy disbelief on one level on another I'd been told to expect it to take up to a year and like you said sudden felt that shit had got real and there was no turning back! I definitely had the jitters for the first few days/weeks but am now 31 weeks and so excited to meet our little one when they arrive! Give yourself time and don't pressure yourself to "feel" anything in particular, good or bad. It's a rollercoaster of emotions whenever you get pregnant so all I can suggest is go with the flow and see how you feel in a few days when it doesn't seem as much of a shock 😊 xx

Thank you so much girls! Calmed down a bit now and starting to feel really happy Smile they really don't prepare you for this roller coaster of emotions do they?! Xx

I had similar thoughts when I first had a positive test. A week later I had a bleed and am waiting for next week to find out if there is something in the sac it is empty. I sincerely hope you don't have a similar scare or outcome but trust me when I say it completely solidified that this is what I want and I'm keeping everything crossed the outcome next week is good.

@Littleblueberry I am so sorry, I am keeping everything crossed for you. It really does put everything in perspective, please let me know how you get on xx
