Hi all,

I'm 19 weeks tomorrow with my first. For the past week I have been feeling "flutters" not a lot but non the less it has been every day.

Yesterday he went quiet and today as well and this is really worrying me.

Everyone said it's normal and it could be that he's hiding more near my back etc. And not to be worrying about reduced movement until about 24 weeks because he's still so small.

I'm desperate to enjoy this pregnancy but we have already had a scare at the 12 week scan and I'm just so nervous.

I have my 20 week scan in 11 days.

Anyone's advice is so much appreciated thank you x

At 19 weeks you usually wouldn't be feeling a lot and definitely not in any patterns or very often, mostly when you are lying down or being very very quiet/still as movement lulls them to sleep. It really is normal so you just have to see it that way I'm afraid, in a few weeks they'll get stronger and more frequent.

Thanks foggy I have heard that this is normal. I have only ever felt the flutters when I have been sitting up and very still/inactive as in I've been sat down for a long time in the same position like at work at my desk. Had a heartbeat check on Thursday and it was fine x

When I first felt movement it was like flutters/bubbles. I feel it when I'm lay down and very still. X

I didn't feel movement until 22 weeks - I was beside myself!!
