I'm 40+3, first baby - no idea what to expect! I've never had serious pains e.g. period pains or back pains so I have absolutely no idea what I'm waiting for!
Today my lower back and pelvis has been aching awfully all day. Last hour or so I've had some on and off pain low down in my stomach and around my pubic bone - but don't contractions make your whole stomach go solid and... well, contract? My stomach isn't particularly hard.
Lost a few clear bits of mucus plug last week and a few days ago. Nothing else happening.
Could this be things kicking off? Other people seem to describe it as instant pain and instantly knowing what's happening, but I don't have a clue!
