Hi all Wink

Looking for some advice, I'm currently 39weeks with baby number 3. I had a sweep 2 days ago, sex last night and lost my mucus plug this afternoon (Blush) I'm due to be induced on Sunday due to a few health problems but I'm wondering if anyone had similar stories they can share? Does it sound like labour will start before being induced?

Although this is baby number 3 I feel I have forgotten everything Hmm

Thanks

I'm 40+2 and waiting for my sweep on Monday. From my knowledge losing your plug is a good sign, but it can still be anything from a few hours to a few days until labour actually starts.

If I were you I'd do my best to walk a bit more, stay active and see if things kick off. X

I had a sweep at 41 weeks, lost my mucus plug 24 hours later, and labour started 15 minutes after that! I read that once you lose your mucus plug labour starts either very soon after, or if not then days / weeks after, not sure if it's true!

Thanks for swift reply..

I have done a 4 mile walk today & will be having sex again tonight-is that safe now? I'm hoping that she comes on her own

i had my (1) baby within 12 hours of having sex and then losing my mucus plug. my waters popped very impressively too Grin

You can have sex after loosing mucus plug. As long as waters have not broken. The semen helps soften the cervix. Good luck

Thank you Smile

I really hope that by the time I reach Sunday 9am I'm in natural labour. Time will tell. Any other tips?

the day i went into labour I was advised by MW to get on all fours and rock every time I felt the baby move which I duly did for the afternoon. my baby was 6 days early too!

It's difficult with two other young children running around! I am willing to try that today though. I will get a birthing ball today also
