6 weeks pregnant & heavy bleeding

Hi all!

I am 6weeks 3 days according to an early scan on Tuesday. I had an early scan because I started spotting a week ago and it got heavier over the weekend.

My scan showed there was something there, but not heartbeat seen as too early. Also no seen cause of the bleeding.

Yesterday bleeding was just like a period, but has got heavier today and this evening have been passing clots of varying sizes. Sorry for tmi, but I can feel the blood coming a lot quicker. I've spoken to EPU and they've said there's not a great deal tney can do at this stage and to wait until my rescan in 2 weeks.

I'm not optimistic at this stage.

Has anyone else been through this?

I've also had a bit of cramping, but just like usual period cramps!

I don't want to scare you because it is very likely to be nothing serious, my friend had a cyst that bled like that but didn't interfere at all with the baby. But it doesn't seem right they are making you wait two weeks..if it doesn't stop or the pain gets worse I would call 111 and see if they refer you to a&e.

No one that I've spoke to seems worried, but it's hard not too!

Just had a bath, as you do at this time of day, and turned the water red and passed a massive clot, think I'm going to call EPU again shortly.

Sorry for sharing so much disgusting infomation!

There's no such thing as disgusting information on here so don't worry about that!

It's easy for people to say don't worry but when you are going through it it's blummin scary. Hope the EPU see you soon even if just for peace of mind

I've spoken to EPU this morning, I'm still not bleeding enough for them to see me, but they think I am most likely miscarrying due to the amount of clots I'm passing and my body is just going about it on its own :( I just have to wait until my rescan to find out either way! They'll see me if I'm filling a pad in 30/40mins or doubled over in agony! I just have to wait it out!

I can't believe they won't see you is there any way you can get a private scan?
