Early pregnancy anxiety

I only found out I was pregnant last weekend and I'm driving myself mad with worry! I've booked in for a early scan in a couple weeks but is there any way I can control my anxiety to not think the worse every day?

I don't have any sickness yet, just lower back pain, crazy tiredness and hunger and some light, dull cramping occasionally.

Nothing you can do other than try to relax. I got pregnant after years of infertility and IVF and was incredibly anxious. I've calmed down now a bit as I think, if something bad is going to happen, then it's going to happen whether I worry or not and I want to enjoy my pregnancy.
Try and relax, hopefully you'll feel better once you see the baby. If your only very early you won't be able to see a heart beat. I personally would wait til your around 7/8 weeks when they can see a heart beat, your likely hood of miscarriage drops when you see a heart beat.

Good luck Smile

Namingmyselfnew I'm in the exact same boat as you. Found out on Saturday just gone that I'm pregnant with our first. I am 4weeks1day today, and absolutely petrified of something bad happening. We've also booked in an early scan, I'll be 7 and a half weeks for the scan and praying everything will be ok. Rang the doctors on Monday expecting to have to go in for tests to confirm the pregnancy but all the said was that the midwife would contact me. Got our booking in appointment in 2 weeks time then she said she would book our 12 week scan in for us. Xx
