Bit of a gross one...

Since last night every time I've been for a wee (which is a lot!) I catch a whiff of what smells like period blood. Each time I wipe I expect to see blood but nothing, only discharge so it must be that that's changed odour.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm 35 weeks

This happened to me yesterday! Though I'm only 20 weeks. Only noticed it during one toilet visit and haven't noticed it again since.

Sorry can't offer any actual advice but interested to hear any responses.

I had this last week (37 weeks then) and had a midwife appointment this week. They said for me, it turned out when your pregnant, hormones can change and make your sense of smell superrrrr sensitive and it was just discharge i could smell. I got well paranoid when it first happened though!!! Xxxx

That makes sense Gothbaby although I don't have a super sense of smell with anything else so who knows!

I'm seeing my midwife next week so I'll ask and report back what she says, be interesting to see if she says differently

My wee has smelled funny all the way through my pregnancy (I'm 32+4) but they've never found anything wrong. I just kinda assumed it was one of those pregnancy hormone things...
