I rang the midwife yesterday for the first time as I got my first ever BFP Monday morning, she booked me in for two appointments... one at 11 weeks and one at 12 weeks, is that normal?? Should I not be seeing anyone before that time?

Honestly the first midwife appt is just to take your history and explain your care to you generally. There's nothing anyone needs to do ahead of the 12 week scan except keep taking folic acid. Some areas see you slightly earlier but it really makes no difference to your health and the progress of your pregnancy.

Thank you Sluttybartfast that's eased my mind a lot! This is my first pregnancy so I'm sure it's the first of many silly questions Blush

I agree with slutty.

The first midwife appointment can be any time from 8 weeks to 12 weeks. I guess it depends on how busy your local BUS maternity units are.

Thank you both for your help Smile
