I'm 26 wks now, feel really unwell, v. heavy cold and I cannot stop coughing - all day, all night. Last night and the night before I was up bet. 2 and 5 coughing non-stop - maybe tmi but lots of gumpf on my chest. It's really painful and raw feeling now, I feel awful and it really hurts my bump!(plus being a test for my pelvic floor!).I'm trying scalding hot drinks to relieve it but can anyone suggest anything else I could try. Basically I need to be in bed but can't be and today is an inset day and my 3 children are at home...oh, and it's my 4yo DD's b'day.

I had a really really persistant tickly cough last winter, and what finally worked was Olbas Oil pastilles. They are safe for you to take - be warned they are totally minging, but boy do they work. If you can force yourself to suck on one for 10 minutes it should do the job. good luck!
