Sitting reading through Mumsnet this afternoon, dd2 and ds fallen asleep, I am watching the clock on the corner of the screen. 14:17 it says. Something in my mind suddenly goes into panic and I check Sky. 15:17 - dd finishes school at 3:15

I thought the computer updated itself. I had to ring school and ask them to take her into the office iuntil I got there, making a ridiculous excuse. I was 20 minutes late to pick her up!!

I needed a new tube of hand cream so bought one. I keep forgetting I've bought it, and buy some more. I now have 3 tubes of the stuff.
I feel like I'm turning more into my granny each day.

Not pregnant (DD is 10 months) but the other day I had the job of warming DD's bottle while DH took her up for her bath.

When they came downstairs they found I had warmed a bottle of alcohol-free Becks rather than her formula.

so when does brain return to normal after childbirth?

I'm nearly 13 wks and so far I've lost my car in the same multi-storey twice, tried to get into the wrong car (for at least a minute before realising) in a different car park, parked in yet another car park and securely opened the sunroof prior to locking the car and walking off... Starting to wonder if I'm safe to drive, what with all my pg brain moments being car-related. I'm usually fairly switched on. I fear those days may be gone.

Oh thank goodness it's not just me - only 6 weeks but have already almost blown house up (left gas kettle on hob, switched on, then went to the shop) and apparently say everything twice to DH with no recollection of having said it the first time. I will have be locked away if this continues for 9mths!
