How have you told your children about the new baby?

I am 14 weeks and we are going to tell them tonight!

DSS is 12 and DSD is 10.

We're going to go for a meal at a place they'll love, and will show them the scan photos, but other than that I can't think what to do/say!

We shared the scan photos with ours and I have to say they couldn't tell what they were (baby owls or snakes were the first guesses) and we should have given them some context first I think!
Also be prepared they may need time to digest the news (even 10 mins or so) before they are really excited! Ours are a little bit younger though.
Hope it goes well!
