Hi all,

I am two weeks post op so still early days I know, but starting to feel more human and wondering what exercises I could do that might help with the muscles becoming friends again after being pulled apart. Also gentle non invasive exercise to being to help me to regain some fitness.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where to start or share their experiences of what did or didn't work?

I have been warned by others that if I do too much too soon that I will cause permanent damage which will set me back further in the long run so I'm a bit anxious about that too!

Thanks :-)

From about 4 days post c-section the main thing I did was walking, doesn't need to be a lot or fast but going further each day really helped. I think until about 6 weeks post c-sec that is probably enough. When you're feeling up to it then maybe some light stretching (some simple yoga for me) was great. It is important to go at your own pace, do not push yourself and don't compare you're self to anyone else. This is a very important time to listen to your body, although I know it's a bit frustrating when you just want to feel fit again asap!
