I know this is all very hypothetical but...

If I were to plan to have a baby in late September 2018, when would I need to conceive?

Sometime around new year. I was due late September with DD1 and am pretty sure it was around then.

I had my BFP on 17th January and was due on something like 28th September.

DS was born 23rd Sept (but late, was due on the 9th) - conceived Dec 19/20th, BFP 4th Jan. BUT this was after 18 months of trying, so the timing was not planned at all, I was just happy to finally be pregnant!
