Stabby pains

I'm currently 36+5 weeks with my first baby and for the past week or so I've been feeling sharp, stabby pains really low down when I'm walking or moving around. Today they've become stronger and a lot more frequent whenever I'm standing, walking or bending over to the point where I need to stop whatever I'm doing until it passes. I'm not feeling my bump any tighter than it usually feels and I'm not feeling any cramps so I don't think it's contractions. Is this normal or am I just over worrying? Blush

Google round ligament pain. . .

I've had this the last 2 weeks (37-39 weeks) and I'm pretty sure it's the baby engaging her head and possible dilation as I've been losing bits of mucus plug too. Do ask your midwife if its worrying you though X
