Try not to worry.

Your baby should be ok, have a read if this if it does develop into food poisoning.

Only if it has been prescribed by your GP.

dementedpixie · 29/07/2017 19:14

Are you normally anxious? I doubt that the amount you ate would give you food poisoning.

Not normally anxious just with my food but i never checked until i eat basically more than half and yes i have cyclizine from dr but havent taken it for ages as i havent needed it

I wouldn't recommend taking it, if it does develop into food poisoning you need to get rid of the bacteria out of your system.

Try sticking to bland foods if you're feeling sick, and drink plenty of water.

I caught campylobacter from dodgy chicken at 26 weeks and I was told there was no risk to my baby at all. I took no drugs, just let it run its course. I felt poorly for 3-4 days, I ate the chicken on Thursday and wasn't unwell until the Saturday.

I did go into triage though as it was recommended I had my anti-d injection early as I am O Rhesus negative.

I remember reading somewhere that the only damage food poisoning can do to the baby is if you get a high temperature and you become dehydrated... i would suggest you wait it out and if you get sick and both of the above apply you call triage for advice
