Hi I have a 11 year old a 9 year old and 8 year old triplets. I was on medication and pill when I conceived the triplets naturally it was a major shock. I've just done a test and I'm pregnant even though birth control was being used.... I've not told my husband just yet because I know his immediate reaction would be tell everyone. Before I've even figured it out myself. So I'm left to deal with this huge news. I've only just got some sense of self back from having triplets and an starting an access course in september because my 5 already cost a fortune how do I cope with 6. I know it sounds selfish and alot of people would love to be in my position be I'm petrified when this should be a happy.......

You're not being selfish, you sound very sensible but It's a big thing to go through on your own and I think you should talk it through with your other half. Make it clear that you want him to keep it to himself and tell him exactly what your concerns are he might share them and together you can make a decision. The burden shouldn't just be on you.
Good luck whatever you do. X

Think how easy it will be having to deal with just 1 at a this time around though!!

Thanks ladies. Now that it's school holidays I haven't had any time to speak to my husband. It's a lot to consider. I worry it will impact the kids because i will have to spread myself 6 ways instead of 5 and that's just one of the things to consider. Just alot to get my head round especially when we never planned to have anymore.

How do you think the older kids would react? I know a family of 5 kids - 11-3 years old and the older ones love helping with their younger sibling. They absolutely dot on the little one.

I have 5. Younger than yours though. With a set of natural twins in there. Recently found myself pregnant even though taking the pill religiously. Didn't tell my husband because he would like another baby. He doesn't do anything with the ones we've got. It's an abusive situation. Keep her pregnant or tied to a baby. Anyway. I went and had a medical abortion on the sly. Only told my mum and only then because I needed her to watch kids while I was in the clinic. All very easy and very quick. Means I can continue on with my access course starting in September once four of mine are in school and then get myself to uni and qualified for my dream career. I don't even feel that guilty for not telling him because it's my life that would be changed most drastically for having another baby not his. Feel free to message me if you'd like to chat.
