Worried. 11+5 and may have hand foot and mouth

Just that really. Not helping that I keep googling. I feel okay in myself I have some spots on my fingers and palm of my hands. I'm just really worried about baby. Going to call doctors in ten minutes when they open. Has anyone got any experience of this?

I work in a primary school where we had an outbreak of hand foot and mouth and also chicken pox!
I went to docs and he referred me for an immunity test for chicken pox however he wasn't concerned at all about HFM.. he said hand foot and mouth is nothing to worry about unless you're pretty much close to giving birth as infection can pass to baby when you've given birth but he wasn't worried at all that I was pregnant and at risk of contamination (I was around ten weeks at the time).

Though complications can happen (as with literally anything) risks to baby are extremely low, but seeing your GP is advised to help fight the infection for you and your own wellbeing.

Easier said than done I know, but try not to worry - just take it easy and look after you, but in terms of baby, any complications are extremely rare. Hope that helps a little xxxx

Thanks for the reply. Saw the doctor and she has told me that baby will be fine but obviously if i get a rash anywhere else that spreads fast (like CP) I should get checked.
