I'm 35 weeks and know your pain. Have you tried putting something cold where it's sore. I've been using cold bottles out of the fridge. Baby soon moves as he doesn't like the cold. Unfortunately not a permanent solution but it's nice while it lasts.

I had this for so so long when pregnant with DD. For the last couple of months she was kicking hell out of my ribs and her feet were permanently there.

I used to lay on my back on the floor and put my arms stretched out above my head, legs flat to the ground for as long as I could stand it. I know you're not really supposed to lay on your back so far on but it was the only thing that helped.

Thanks ladies Im going to try both of these! I woke up flat on my back last night after a solid sleep so its clearly the comfiest position although i always try to set off on my side... oops!

My midwife said as long as you feel ok there's no problem lying on your back.

I also asked her about the pain in my ribs (I'm only 27 weeks and its agony) and she said my ribs were expanding (something to do with hormones) and that it was stretching the intercostal muscles. Not much to do about it, I find yoga helps but only temporarily.

I remember this! It was awful right up until I gave birth!
I tried to go braless when ever I could, that would help a bit.
