I've woken up to what i thought was usual cramps, kinda trapped wind cramps, which I've been getting for last few days (only did test Sunday) but have always disappeared again, much like they are doing again now. Only difference is I have been to the loo and now I am bleeding, more brown at the minute but worried it is going to get heavier... I'm not too sore how far gone I am/was. No more than 8wks but I'm not yet under midwife care, awaiting booking in appointment. I really dont want to lose this baby, could it be implantation bleeding as I could be a little as 2-3wks pregnant (I have very irregular periods). I did 3 further tests yesterday as I have been terrified of this happening and all positive. Sorry to blab on I am just petrified now Sad

@babyjonesie2018 so sorry you've had to experience this.
It could be implantation and could also be placenta implantation bleed.
I woke up yesterday to red blood then it turned brown, but as fates would have it, it was also the day of my dating scan at the hospital.
I went in petrified and found a bouncy baby waving away.. they couldn't necessarily give me a reason for bleed but said an array of things e.g: time of period if I wasn't pregnant, cervix could be irritated, they couldn't find a bleed within the womb area which is a common cause of bleeding in pregnancy, I also had a cyst hat has since disappeared so could have even been that. I know I am further along than you but what I am trying to say (though not concisely) is that there are so many reasons this happens and it's not always the worst case scenario.
I would ring your GP for a same day appt and ask them to refer you to EPU where they'll offer you a scan for reassurance.
I would say try not to worry but that's like asking the Pope not to be Catholic, just focus on the fact there are a number of reasons this could be happening.
Take care xxxxxx

Sorry babyjones it is horrible to be so worried. Bleeding in early pregnancy is very common and does not always result in a miscarriage but of course you think the worst when you see blood. Your local hospital is likely to have an early pregnancy unit where you could be scanned, some of them you can self-refer, some of them your GP needs to send a referral. They would do an exam to see if your cervix is closed and an untrasound scan (likely to be a vaginal scan since you are early). They often will not actively manage a miscarriage based on one scan so you can be left in limbo waiting a week or so for it to be repeated. There is nothing at all they can do to stop/prevent a miscarriage if that is what is happening, so have a think whether you prefer to wait and see or you want more information. Do you have someone at home to support you? Hopefully this is just a scare and will all settle down, but if you need them MN has a miscarriage board in the body and soul section where you will get lots of support.

Thanks for your quick reply. I am going to wait for an hour or two this morning. I have had a miscarriage years ago so I do know what to expect although I didn't actually known was pregnant until having the miscarriage. I'm going to take it easy this morning and see what happens around 11ish. Hubby is off also today so if needed he can have the children while I go to any necessary appointment. Wouldn't of thought doc would do much apart from tell me to wait so little worried about ringing them

I had bleeding in both my pregnancies pretty much from testing. Just brown on first and in my second pregnancy I had brown with pick. An in both instances the bleeding lasted up to 12-14 weeks. Mine was due to bruises that had formed when the egg was burrowing when implanted and the bleeding was the bruise coming away. My children are now 5 and 2. I know it's hard but try not to panic and go and see your GP, theyll probably send you for an early scan. Flowers

Thank you blueisthenewblue. I am still keeping fingers crossed. Still spotting but no pain. Still brownish too. I have had 3 previous sections so wonder if this could be affecting things? I had bleeding with my first just after 12wks but all fine. Didn't know I was pregnant until 18wks with my second and had slight bleeding and cramping with my 3rd just really really hope all goes well with this one.

It's such a terrifying time isn't it. It's so much worse too when you find out super early too, more time to worry. I found out early at 3 weeks with both mine too. I hope it stops soon for you Smile
