Bloody show? warning pic

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and have been having some thick mucusy discharge over the past week or so.

Just been to the bathroom and now there is a pink bloody tinge to it. Is this a show?

I'm a bit worried as I was sent for growth scan last week and told my amniotic fluid was raised (but not excessive) and baby was only on 10th percentile but bump measuring on 50th. I am booked for another scan at 38 weeks to check his growth and worried if I go into labour before then I will have to have a hospital birth instead of midwife centre I had planned.

I know a show doesn't necessarily mean imminent labour but I have been having a lot of pressure, strong but irregular BH and cramping

I had lots that looked like that the day dd3 was born I showed the midwife when I was on delivery suite and she said it was definitely a show.

It was over 30 years ago but I lost my 'plug' it was like a big solid lump of jelly like you get in a pork pie streaked with blood.

I did get that type of stuff before.

My waters broke during the night after I lost the plug and then labour started 12 hours later.

I would probably phone your midwife and just ask to get checked as does look a bit like a show. Just best to be safe cos you might think it is braxton hicks but could be early labour. Good luck.

I'm going to phone midwife centre and see if they would still let me go there.

Pretty sure (as I can be for a FTM) that they are BH as they seem to be getting more frequent at night (wake me up at least every hour) but then I only have a few in the day. Sounds like I may be gearing up for it though. Had a really tight uncomfortable bump since Saturday aswell

Sounds like could be heating up for d day. I had braxton hicks with my 2nd for about 3 wks and still had to be induced. Hoping I don't go natural this time as booked in for a c section to get sterilised also. Hopefully you will be fine but probs best just getting checked over.

Hey chelle85, we chatted on another thread. Hope all is ok for you. I can't offer any advice, but I hope all is well with you and baby :)

Still pregnant...

Midwife confirmed it was a show so could be gearing up but nothing yet. She explained the fluid and measurements a bit better and had no concern about me being a midwife led delivery so that made me feel a bit better.

On the one hand I want to cook him a bit longer so he isn't too tiny (was at 5lb 3oz a week ago so would like him to be at least 6lb when born) but I am so uncomfortable at this stage that it would be nice if he made an appearance pretty soon!
