Hello, I am pregnant with MCDA twins, and things aren't looking 100% as they are growing further apart in size each appointment, so I had an urgent referral sent to southampton princess anne hospital for a specialist to have a look. I know not everyone will have experience with MCDA twin pregnancies, but does anyone have any experience of the hospital? Travelling there today for my appointment and very nervous. X

Hi salsasalsa

One of my very good friends in a supervising midwife for high risk babies at Princess Anne. She is one of the most loveliest kindest people and so supportive, so if she is anything to go by I hope you will be reassured at your appointment. If you have any concerns after your appointment I may be able to see if she can give you a call and answer any questions so do PM me if you feel comfortable to. I can't promise she can do anything outside of official channels but I know she would only want to help.

I am pregnant with my first baby now and will have it at Princess Anne, and have had nothing but good experiences so far, though I am only second trimester and low risk, so I hope you do too.

Best wishes for today, try not to worry Flowers

Wow thank you so much, that is reassuring even if she can only send a message through you if I have any worries.
It's a 40 min drive from where I live, so not the end of the world. And they've already said my partner and my mum can come today which is lovely as I've seen you are only supposed to have one, thank you, trying very hard not to worry but hopefully will have some clear confident answers, good or bad after today x and congratulations yourself, hope you are having a wonderful pregnancy journey so far x

No problem at all. Pregnancy is such an anxious time, even with the smoothest of pregnancies, so if I can offer any extra reassurance I am happy to try and do that. Like you say, hopefully you can get some answers today and make a plan going forward, however easy or hard that plan might be, at least you'll have some more knowledge.

And thank you, my journey has been pretty good so far, but not had the 20 wk scan yet so still on the worry bench for now! x

I had my three babies there. Parking is a nightmare-not enough spaces and they're all really narrow. Better off parking at the general and walking over (or get dropped off at PA and then get someone else to park at general).

I was on labour ward all 3 times and ended up in theatre twice. The staff were great. Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy Flowers
