Washing Bugaboo Bee Cocoon & Bassinet

I'm really sorry - I know this isn't quite a 'pregnancy' issue but I guess it fits in with the 'getting ready for baby' stuff and I have no idea where else to put it.

We've got the bugaboo bee cocoon out of our cellar (estate agent speak - really a glorified hole in the ground) for expected DC2. It's not too awful but smells and DEFINITELY needs a good wash (hasn't been very effectively wrapped). Do I just stick it in the washing machine? It says 30 degrees but I'd prefer to do it on a 40 wash - has anyone does this? Don't want to ruin it but lordy knows what's kicking around on that thing: it's been in our cellar for nearly 5 years and I'm sure there have been mice kicking about....

Also we've bought a bassinet second hand. Looks clean, but obviously want to give it a good clean. I realise I can't put this in the washing machine - did you just wipe with a cloth/antibacterial spray?

I've washed a cocoon lots on a 40 degree wash and mine was totally fine. Same with my footmuff.
