Pregnancy and moles

Have you experienced changes to any existing moles during pregnancy?

I have an inoffensive small light brown mole on my back, round, about the size of the end of a pencil. Ever so slightly raised so you can feel a slight bump when touching it.

I've noticed this week that it seems more prominent. Slightly more raised and obvious it's there to touch. It has a tiny gap like a hole in the middle too but I don't know if it was always like that, it's not in a place I can see easily so I'm not really sure if/when it's changed. It's just that when washing the other morning m I thought "oh that feels different". But I really don't know if it was always like that.

No itching, no bleeding, no colour change, no change in outline, it just feels more obvious to the touch than I can recall.

Im booked in at the doctors to have it checked, but I am a worrier and trying to stay away from google.

I seem to remember reading about hormones sometimes changing skin/pigment and moles and just wondering if it's common?

Or any experiences similar to mine turn out to be nothing ?

TIA

I had very small lumps come up under my eye when pregnant that went when I gave birth. I did read somewhere that this kind of thing happens. Keep your appointment just to be on the safe side though.

Thankyou!

I am definitely going to see the doctor if nothing else for reassurance.

Wanting to avoid googling and try and get a little reassurance in the mean time from others who may have experienced this kind of thing in pregnancy!

I have a lot of moles and I noticed that a couple of them have changed size/became more raised during pregnancy. I would definitely get them checked but I think it's quite normal. I've also developed loads of skin tags everywhere so presume my skin just reacts to being pregnant!

Thanks so much, definitely getting it checked but it's very reassuring to hear from others.

GP told me it was normal for moles to changes and become more raised during pregnancy. He said as long as it stayed symmetrical there was nothing to worry about. Definitely get it looks at though, for peace of mind if nothing else.

It's normal for them to change. I only realised mine had when my toddler started prodding at them.

I have one on my back that became loads more prominent. Went to the dr and it turns out there is now a skin tag growing underneath the mole! I'd forgotten that I got loads of skin tags with my first too but the dr said it's really common for moles to change in pregnancy. Always better to get checked though.

I have a mole on my belly which definitely looks more raised than usual since getting pregnant. I haven't had it checked, although probably should just in case. Otherwise it's perfectly normal though.

I had growing moles in pregnancy. Talked to mW about it and she reassured me that everything grows in pregnancy
